Fly2Samarkand – Where the Silk Road Meets the Sky

Step into the heart of the Silk Road, where turquoise domes glisten under the sun and history whispers through every stone. Fly2Samarkand isn’t just a journey – it’s an odyssey. Guided by Pilot Barbossa, your organizer and companion, pilots and adventurers unite to cross borders, skies, and centuries in one unforgettable experience.

For the very first time, European general aviation pilots will set their course into a region never before reached by light aircraft from the West. Starting in Bulgaria, the route unfolds across Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and into the legendary heart of Uzbekistan. Over 4,000 nautical miles of adventure lie ahead – across rugged mountain ranges, endless steppes, and breathtaking landscapes where even the elusive snow leopard roams, not far from the Chinese border.

Here, aviation meets discovery: soar over lands few have ever flown, land in destinations untouched by mainstream tourism, and share moments of wonder with fellow pilots who become lifelong friends. From the legendary Registan Square to the timeless caravan routes, every stop tells a story, every flight fuels the spirit of adventure.

This is not ordinary travel.
This is Fly2Samarkand – your invitation to write history in the skies.

Samarkand – The Timeless Heart of the Silk Road

Few places on earth capture the spirit of adventure quite like Samarkand. For more than two millennia, this legendary city has stood as the jewel of the Silk Road – a crossroads of merchants, scholars, conquerors, and dreamers. To arrive here by air is not just a flight, it is the culmination of centuries of human movement and discovery.

The city shimmers with turquoise domes and golden mosaics, most famously at the Registan Square, where three majestic madrasas frame a stage once filled with traders and storytellers from every corner of the world. Nearby, the Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum tells the tale of Timur, the conqueror who made Samarkand his capital and left behind an architectural legacy of breathtaking beauty.

But Samarkand is more than history. Around the city, the Zeravshan Valley unfolds in shades of green and gold, with vineyards, orchards, and traditional Uzbek villages. Beyond the fertile plain rise the rugged mountains of Central Asia, where silence reigns and the elusive snow leopard still roams.

Landing in Samarkand means touching down in a living legend – a place where East meets West, past meets present, and where every visitor becomes part of a story that continues to unfold.

This is not just a destination.
This is Samarkand – the beating heart of the Silk Road.

Join us for these unforgettable adventures.
