Frequently Asked Questions

  • FlightQuest.Space is the platform for pilots and adventurers who dream of exploring the world in small aircraft. We bring together like-minded aviators to fly extraordinary VFR and IFR routes as a group — discovering landscapes, cultures, and airspaces that few have ever experienced.

  • If you’ve logged at least 50 hours in the past 12 months and can fly under VFR or IFR, you’re good to go. No extensive international experience? No problem! Our tours are designed to make cross-border flying accessible and exciting, even for those taking their first steps into global aviation.

  • No. We are not a tour operator. FlightQuest.Space provides information, routes, and inspiration — the adventure itself is in your hands and your cockpit.

  • Our journeys span Europe, Turkey/Anatolia, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa. New routes are constantly being added, so there’s always another horizon waiting to be explored.

  • From Ultralight (up to 600 kg) to Echo class (above 600 kg) and even jets — all are welcome. Past tours have included everything from a C42 to a Mooney, a PC-12, and even an SF50 Cirrus Jet. If it flies, it belongs with us.

  • We provide carefully researched information for your planning, but each pilot remains responsible for flight safety, legality, and execution.

  • Every adventure is unique. Expenses depend on route, fuel, landing fees, and accommodation. We don’t package trips like a tour operator — costs are transparent and shared directly among participants.

  • No. FlightQuest itself does not make money. It is an open platform that connects professional and experienced organisers operating worldwide.

  • Simply fill out the application form on the website for your preferred tour (Europe, Anatolia, etc.). Once you’re accepted, you’ll receive all the details to prepare for your adventure.

  • Because flying solo from A to B is ordinary. Flying as part of a group across borders, through breathtaking landscapes, and into the heart of aviation adventure — that’s extraordinary.
FlightQuest and its independent organisers take care of the difficult parts: obtaining permits and special permissions, negotiating affordable landing and parking fees with airports, arranging fuel, and providing detailed route briefings for every leg of the journey. Experienced pilots accompany the group as leaders, ensuring safety, structure, and support throughout the adventure.

  • As a young pilot, our founder (known as Pilot Barbossa) had no international flying experience and was intimidated by complex airspaces and regulations in countries like Italy. The fear of getting lost or overwhelmed in the air was very real. Everything changed after meeting a Lufthansa pilot who organised a well-prepared group flight. That experience gave everyone in the group enormous confidence and greatly increased flight safety. That was the spark that started FlightQuest.
